A: The term "senior housing" coves a broad spectrum of definitions. Towne Club, which offers independent senior living, is an all-inclusive luxury rental apartment for people 55 and older. It might be best understood by explaining what it is not. Towne Club is not a nursing home. It is not an assisted-living facility. It is not a CCRC -- Continuing Care Retirement Community. And Towne Club is not a condominium.
Q: What is the inspiration behind Towne Club?
A: Think of Towne Club as a modern version of the upscale retirement living found in New York City in the late 1940's and 1950's, at hotels such as the Waldorf Astoria. It is a relaxed, pampered lifestyle defined by comfort and numerous amenities.
Q: What are the advantages of living at Towne Club?
A: There are many. We want to help people live their lives to the fullest and to re-think their active adult years. Research indicates that seniors who are happy and live positive, active lifestyles can extend their lives seven years or more!
Q: I understand that the monthly fee is pricey?
A: We believe it is a great value. Many people actually save money by living at Towne Club. You have to consider everything that is part of our all-inclusive package and do the math. Towne Club's monthly lifestyle fee includes: two meals per day, every day; unlimited use of the health club; resort pool; business center; library; arts & crafts room; twice-monthly maid service; scheduled transportation; all interior and exterior maintenance; all real estate taxes and building insurance; a 250-channel Cable TV services with 45 HD channels; unlimited telephone service within the continental U.S.; and free high-speed Internet.
Q: I'm eager to move into Towne Club but am having a hard time selling my home. Is there any help I can get?

Q: Since Towne Club is a luxury property, what kind of up-front buy-in fee is there?
A: There is no buy-in fee. Residents only pay a $1,500 community fee prior to moving in.
Q: Do I have to arrange for my own cable TV, Internet and phone services?
A: No. Our no-hassle move-in takes the burden of arranging for cable TV, Internet and phone service. And our technical staff is ready to assist you. No hassle, no fees. We do it all.
Q: Is Towne Club pet friendly? Can I keep a dog or cat in my apartment?
A: Yes.
Q: What kind of security is there at Towne Club?
A: We have state-of-the-art closed circuit TV surveillance throughout the property, as well as a security lock system that can only be accessed by the staff and residents. Towne Club also provides overnight security personnel.
Q: Does everyone get the same food in the dining room each day, or is there a choice?
A: Towne Club offers a full menu at lunch and dinner. At breakfast you have your choice of several pre-selected ala carte items as well as a continental breakfast buffet.
Q: Is the kitchen able to accommodate my special nutrition requirements, such as a low-salt diet?
A: Yes. Towne Club's chefs are skilled in preparing almost every special diet, including low-sodium and low-cholesterol.
Q: Can I have a meal brought to my room if I don't want to sit in the dining room?
A: Yes.
Q: Can my children and grandchildren use the swimming pool at Towne Club when they come to visit? Can they join me for a meal in the dining room?
A: Yes. Residents' guests, including grandchildren, are always welcome. They can join you at the pool and also be your guest in the dining room for a delicious meal.
Q: If my family visits from out of state, can they stay in my apartment?
A: Yes. Guests are welcome to stay with you up to seven days. For longer visits you'll need the approval of the property manager. Visitors also have the option to stay in our Guest Suite for a nominal daily charge that includes a free breakfast.
Q: I like staying busy. How many social events are there in a normal week?
A: Social events are always on the calendar. There are normally two social events planned daily. Check our Activities Calendar for details.
Q: Does Towne Club have a social director on staff?
A: Towne Club has a "Cruise Director" whose job it is to keep residents busy and entertained.
Q: Is maid service available?
A: Twice monthly maid service is provided at no charge. Additional service can be arranged for an additional cost.
Q: What kind of transportation help is available if I don't want to drive?
A: Towne Club residents can choose between house-provided transportation on a scheduled basis, or they can rent one of our Towne Club Golf Carts by the hour or by the day.
Q: Does Towne Club have a place where I can keep my golf cart?
A: Towne Club offers golf Cart parking in its secure Golf Cart Garage. Each space is equipped with an electrical outlet for convenient battery charging (at no cost).
Q: What happens if I move into Towne Club and need occasional medical support?
A: Towne Club residents that need occasional medical support can receive short-term medical/personal care service in their apartment as long as the resident contracts with the caregiver.
Q: Does Towne Club offer assisted living services if I eventually need them?
A: Towne Club is not an assisted living facility; however, residents may hire outside caregivers to provide their daily personal care if they desire.
